Coco Collection is proud to join millions of people who are willing to do their part today and contribute to Earth Hour 2014. For those of you not staying at Coco Bodu Hithi or Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu during this year’s Earth Hour festivities, we invite you to celebrate vicariously through the updates you will find here and later tonight on our facebook, twitter, and pinterest pages!
At Coco Bodu Hithi, all power generators will be turned off for one hour and guests are invited to take a stroll along Breeze beach to enjoy a traditional Maldivian music performance known as “Bodu Beru”. Listen to the catchy rhythm of the drums in the light of the glowing bonfire that we are setting up just for tonight. As for the restaurants and bars, Coco Bodu Hithi will create a sensational ambiance complimenting the natural light from our starry skies with environment friendly oil burners.
In Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, our associates have invited guests to a fun island cleaning afternoon. Afterwards, guests are welcome to join us to plant trees in support of the cause and to raise awareness for environmental issues on our planet. During Earth Hour, lights will be turned off all over Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, and the beach near Conch Bar will be lit by the warm glow of myriads of candles.
Keep checking our Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages to see updates with photos of the beautiful activities that will take place at both Coco Bodu Hithi and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu today! And don’t forget to do your part to celebrate Earth Hour and support this important cause.
